Humble

As I grow older, there is one thing I need to constantly reminder myself: "You don't know a shit, just shut up and learn something. Take care of yourself and your family first, and besides that, if you can be somehow useful to others, that's probably the best you could do as a fellow citizen. At a bare minimum do not harm others, don't be a jerk, don't be a dick."

And the truth is that most people really don't know a shit. To paraphrase Alan Lew, "you have to study for a long time before know that you don't know a shit". The original one is "you have to prepare for a long time before you know you are completely unprepared".

The way I remind myself is that there is a hierarchy, for anything that is complex and vast, knowledge is no exception. When you look up the people above you, you can't help but wonder "how could those guys know so much and I feel like an idiot in front of them ?", at the same time you have guys, often below the level you are currently at, boasting how much they know while making themselves idiots to you. And bitter lesson I learned over the years is that you should never engage into any arguments with the those below you, it's a waste of time and it is always counter productive.
