Learn And Build

I stumbled on the acronym of LAB: Learn and Build. By nature I am a learner - my whole life has been driven by learning and figuring out things I am interested: computer, Economics, math, physics, etc. What I am lacking is consistent building things, too often I give up once I think it is good enough, not pushing through the last 5% to reap the real benefits.

I intend to break this pattern this time around, with AI and Corn.

4 principles

  1. Take the first step, the step you do not want to take.

  2. Grit: keep your discipline, your future self will thank you for that.

  3. Focus: "I have limited talents and skills and I try to do a few things as well as I can."

  4. Exploration and "Detour": work near your target, "Going down some rabbit holes are okay, keep chasing the shiny objects is not"

slogan

1Get it started in the right field, keep your eyes on the ball, work "near" it, and
2have fun "suffering" through the rough patches.

Donts

  1. Don't be a glutton to try everything you stumble onto.

  2. Don't be a perfectionist: take the first step.

  3. Don't be a wimp: push through it.

  4. Don't be a tourist: focus, relentless focus.
